This project showcases sensors that I designed with Smith Robotics Ltd. for the SmartCity InnovateUK & UKRI - Industrial Decarbonisation Challenge (IDC).

I contributed to all aspects of the physical product design for several sensors for various applications. This includes the Solar Sensor, which offers a multitude of functionalities, and the potted mini sensor, suitable for focused applications such as monitoring ash trees to help prevent ash dieback—a significant issue affecting many UK & European forests, leading to unfortunate tree loss. These sensors are all currently in various stages of development. I am eager to share more updates as they progress.

My roles in these projects encompass loose sketchwork, rendered sketchwork, CAD exterior surface modeling, FDM 3D printing, design engineering, functional FDM 3D printing, and Keyshot rendering. To give an idea of output speed I completed 4 loose pages of conceptual drawings based a volumetric CAD model I built of internals, built 2 CAD ID models, 3D Printed, Tested, Adjusted and Mechanically detailed the initial prototype version of this product in a 2 week design sprint.
